Just over an hour from London by fast train will take you to the “garden of England”, Kent.  Come and experience a little luxury in our Georgian Grade II listed bed and breakfast in Dover.  Our elegant townhouse, built in 1823, is situated just a few minutes walk from Dover town centre, and a short distance from Dover ferry/cruise terminal, Priory Railway station, Dover Castle and other attractions of the town.  There is a bus stop a few metres away which can take you, in around 30 minutes, to the beautiful cathedral town of Canterbury as well as buses to Deal, Sandwich and many other beautiful little towns and villages in the Kent area.  We can also arrange transfers to/from ferry/cruise terminal/railway station upon request.

If you fancy a boat trip out to see the White Cliffs there are tours throughout the summer and into autumn.  If walking is your thing there is Samphire Country Park approximately 3 kms west of Dover.  This park was created by using millions of cubic metres of chalk mark from the Channel Tunnel excavations and has absolutely stunning scenery for the keen photographer.  You can enjoy a delicious seafood lunch right on the Dover seafront and watch the cross channel ferries cruising to and fro.  There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance of our home and a very nice little pub close by with a lovely outdoor area for the summer months.

We have two beautifully decorated bedrooms furnished with antique furniture and Persian rugs; both have their own private bathrooms and boast luxury Egyptian cotton linen, cosy duvets and eiderdowns, fluffy towels, comfortable beds as well as TV, DVD Player, WiFi, iPods, tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available in your room, hairdryers and luxury Aromatherapy bath products and now our new gorgeous luxury, organic, bathroom amenities imported from Thailand (Lemongrass House).  We have a large range of DVDs to suit all tastes for you to borrow if you want a relaxing evening in front of the fire!  There is a guest lounge where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine and on a warm afternoon we have a lovely garden where you can just relax, read a book, maybe partake of a Pimms!

Our reviews praise us for our scrumptious English breakfasts. We source our ingredients from local farms, shops and businesses and are the best we can find. Our sausages and bacon we buy from J.C Rooks the local Kent butchers. Our eggs are free-range, our jams and preserves are either homemade or from the local farm shop. We have a range of Nespresso coffee flavours for your enjoyment. If for a change you fancy something different then just ask the night before!
